MOONBABY

Our friends from the Stokes have supplied us with some amazing Pinot Grigio grapes for a test run to make some skin contact sparkling and still wine. The results were great. We will be calling it MOONBABY and make a small 1 tonne batch during the harvest of 2024!

if you want to reserve your case, send Sarah a message at sarah@meadowwines.com.au and she will add you to the waiting list.

Julie Anderson Tempranillo

The 2023 Julie Anderson will be available around October. The grapes came from our neighbor at The Islander. It is a super smooth Tempranillo with a bit of Carbonic Maceration, a nice warm ferment and left on skins for a good 4 weeks to suck up all that goodness.

Our Vineyard Sites

Our vineyard operations have started in Kangaroo Island in South Australia. We have planted some amazing Riesling 2 years ago as a test for the site and added Sangiovese and Nebbiolo in 2022. We plan to expand the vineyards this year by adding Pinot Grigio, Roussanne more Sangiovese and Riesling.

Our neighbours and fellow vineyards is helping us next year to make some wine by selling us some local fruit. We were lucky this year to get some amazing Tempranillo as a test batch. It ended up an excellent wine and is currently in barrel, relaxing.

We will post some more photos of our vineyard as we plant and progress our re-imagination of an old-school vineyard.

We purchased a second-hand press from a winery in McLaren Vale. It is a perfect size for our little micro winery on Kangaroo Island

UN Sustainability Goals is a important part of what we do. We try and align ourselves with what the United Nations is discussing and what they think is important in context of world issues. We will write about what we are doing on the farm and in our business model to align our ideas with these sustainability goals.

micro dam frog

Found this little guy in the mud in the dam. We have been greening our dams and the wildlife has started to move in!

the lonely koala

As the devastation from the bushfires on Kangaroo Island is slowly dissappearing behind the green growth of the past 3 years, it is important to remember that we should always be thinking on our impact on the earth when we do things every day.

Thank you for visiting the BRC Team. We hope to see you at one of our events soon.
